The exchange students experience is a huge part of URFC culture, lets see what Maitland, who spent a year with us while he was on exchange to HKU during 2018/19 season has to say:
“Having not played in a few years, UniRFC was an amazing club to jump into, both with the rugby and with the social aspect too. For exchange students in particular, I thought the club went above and beyond to welcome me and the other new members, there was no worries about being a fresh face, everyone was incredibly friendly from the get-go. I’ve had heaps of great moment this year with the club: from Beach 5’s in Macau, to big team socials, home games in Sandy Bay, or the (very large) HK Sevens weekend, joining UniRFC was one of the best choices I made in Hong Kong and, for anyone in the same boat, I’d totally recommend doing the same.”
